This book is a multimedia document consisting of a written version with sound illustrations (3 cds) of a series of radio programmes (26 out of a total of 188) produced in the early sixties by the late Manoubi Snoussi, companion and private secretary to Baron Rodolphe d’Erlanger. These programmes are divided into five series (classical music, folk music Islamic liturgy, popular liturgy and military music).

In this book which deals with what is known as the Arabo-Andalusian musical repertoire, (Manoubi Snoussi gives us an overview of the Tunisian musical experience and then proceeds to present an exhaustive study of the musical genres in favour in Tunisia but also, in different versions, in the other countries of the Maghreb.
