Sarawen

The Tunisian musician and musicologist Riadh Ben Amor, is one of the most talented violinists of his generation.

After a professional career within the great phalanges of Tunisian music, he moved to Paris where he studied at the postgraduate level and pursued his artistic career, which allowed him to play as a soloist with many international artists and singers. Then he moved to Tunisia where he taught at the High Institute of Music and gave several recitals and musical projects.

The show "Sarawen" is one of the projects he presents in the company of brilliant Tunisian musicians with whom he shares the passion to create, innovate and perform in the Arab-Oriental type while opening up to the world music. The "Sarawen" project highlights the solo violin through original compositions by Riadh Ben Amor and covers of international works adapted and rearranged for the violin while favoring the instrumental exchange through improvisation and dialogue between the instruments.
